Celebrity crusader Erin Brockovich has turned her back on the people and issues that made her famous. Brockovich did a commercial for Tony Strickland touting him as some one who gets things done. The only thing we have seen him do is support polluters, tobacco and insurance companies against the best interests of the people of California.
Inquiries show that her former boss Ed Masry’s son, Louis Masry, has higher political aspirations, ran a failed council campaign in Moorpark and has strong ties to the Stricklands. He donated $2,000 to the Strickland campaign. We think she was pressured to help out Louis’ political career.

Some facts that should be mentioned:
Tony Strickland, who has taken over $55,000 in contributions from oil and chemical companies, consistently votes to put the interests of corporate polluters ahead of the health of our families.
- Strickland voted against Hannah-Beth Jackson’s bill to protect school children from pesticide spraying (AB 947)
- Strickland voted against Jackson’s bill to get percholorates out of Simi Valley’s drinking water (AB 826)
- Strickland voted against Jackson’s bill to keep petroleum wastes out of our storm drains (AB 560)
- Strickland voted against Jackson’s bill to protect California’s clean water standards (AB 897)

Looks like Erin had some bills to pay. That all that is worth, a payoff. Too bad, but true.
